Fatherland

Film series dedicated to Armenian studies, which discusses what makes us different. What singles out the Armenian and Armenia? What are the values and traditions that have forged the character of the Armenian and the Armenian culture? Seemingly simple phenomena and objects become mysterious and significant in the project, while complicated subjects become closer and understandable. For locals, the diaspora and foreigners the films will be a chance to get to know, to appreciate, to be amazed and to admire Armenia. Project creator Gohar Gaspayan with her multi-faceted and immediate approach will tell, investigate and present the Armenian values.

The 4ths season of "Fatherland" project includes several subjects discussing self-recognition of people in the context of psychology, theology, anthropology and Armenian studies. Simultaneously, the program tells about early Christian churches of the 5-10th centuries, which haven't been present on air but are considered treasures of Armenian architecture.
